Job Overview

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our team. In this role, you will work in an Agile Scrum team to support the development of the browser-native version of Applied Epic.

You will collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum team members to deliver high-quality technical solutions that answer our clients’ business requirements. We are looking for developers to deliver well-written, enterprise-scale applications.

What You Will Do 

• Collaborate with your team on development and testing to deliver new features
• Solve technical problems and mentor others by sharing technical knowledge
• Provide comprehensive feedback in design reviews and code reviews
• Assess the impact of changes to identify opportunities and risks
• Lead technical projects, share updates, and receive input
• Author code aligned with internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Advocate for alignment with standards through code review
• Collaborate with Application Architects to confirm technical solutions
• Contribute to documentation to support design discussions

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

We’re looking for someone who: 

• Has the ability to work 100% remotely 

Your experience should include some or all of the following: 

• 3 years of web development experience creating enterprise software using React
• 5 years of professional experience building web applications and web services
• Experience with C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL Server, and Visual Studio
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements and deliver solutions within committed timelines
• Ability to provide feedback on coding standards through code reviews
• Proven technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and research abilities
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience
