Requirements

We are seeking a skilled, fully cleared (TS/SCI W/ Poly) Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive backup engineering support across Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and engineering support within an 8X5 schedule with after-hours on-call responsibilities. The individual will handle escalated issues from Tier 2, address complex problems, and manage non-routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve escalated technical issues from Tier 2 support and tackle complex problems, including non-routine maintenance tasks.
• Act as a technical expert for problem resolution and assist Tier 1 - 2 personnel in researching and implementing solutions.
• Escalate vendor product-related issues to Tier 4 for resolution.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in software application maintenance across various operating systems.
• Implement backup procedures for disks, taming DMF, Veritas Netbackup, and SGS HCP (Hitachi Content Platform).
• Manage VMware and associated tools (vCenter, vRa, vRop), leveraging expertise in these technologies.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and hold an IAT-Level II certification.
• Contribute to the completion of project milestones while ensuring high-quality standards are met.
• Must have an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph to be considered.

Desired Skills:

• VMware certification (VCP) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity and experience with the SpectraLogic family of tape libraries.

Additional Responsibilities: Beyond the mentioned duties, this role encompasses a range of Tier 3 responsibilities, contributing significantly to day-to-day operations while ensuring systems' efficiency, security, and reliability.
