We are looking for a Lighting Designer for a min. 3 month assignment to be a hands on and a collaborative member of an architectural design team during the conceptual design stage of large complex commercial and government facilities projects. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Chief Creative Officer and in collaboration with teh architectural design team, design innovative high performance lighting solutions for highly complex large commercial and/or government building projects. 
  • Draft lighting sheets in Revit
  • Render lighting design in Revit
  • Funneling all information from outside lighting consultants to internal design team
  • Organizing lighting specifications, schedules, and cutsheets created by outside lighting consultants

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in technical theater, engineering, design or related field is preferred.
  • 10 years experience as a lighting designer working on increasingly complex large industrial or commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required
  • Ability to build Revit families for fixtures that don’t have them available
  • Working knowledge of drafting for lighting design and/or electrical engineering
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction from lead designers
  • Ability to multitask and work on a range of projects

Submission or portfolio is required for consideration for this position.

We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected base pay range for this role is between $50 and $70 per hour. Actual compensation for an individual will vary depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
