Job Description:

Since 1985, our core business has been enteral device product development, design, manufacturing, and engineering in a state-of-the-art facility near Cleveland, Ohio. Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to plan and implement marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned.

Strategic

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Provide gap analysis on competitive products.
  • Achieve satisfactory market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends
  • Obtain feedback from clinicians and marketplace on new product ideas or improvements to existing products.
  • Develop key relationships with clinicians (particularly gastroenterologists and pediatric surgeons), large home healthcare suppliers, hospitals, distributors, and other strategic partners.
  • Coordinate the launch of new AMT products.
  • Meet and follow-up with clinicians in the introduction and use of AMT products.
  • Facilitate and assist with clinical studies or trials of products.
  • Develop product champions for key AMT products.

Marketing

  • Develop and manage marketing operating budgets.
  • Create/coordinate sales and marketing tools for AMT products.
  • Plan and oversee marketing literature, DVDs, advertising, and tradeshow planning.
  • Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Identify and attend tradeshows, and travel as needed.

Management

  • Hold monthly progress meetings with Senior Management.
  • Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to Senior Management.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control marketing programs.
  • Coordinate between marketing department and other departments/staff at AMT

Assists other departments to prepare manuals and technical publications.
Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Thorough understanding of marketing and software for creating materials.
  • Must be extremely organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Team player with positive attitude to all employees, vendors, clients and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree is a plus.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Maintains a valid Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of modern marketing strategies, business communication, office procedures and methods. Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
Equipment Used: telephones, computer, other office equipment as needed.
Special/ Additional Requirements: Persons in this position will be required to pass a drug, alcohol, and/or criminal background check.
