Job title: IT Support Technician I

Pay: Starting at $22 - $26 an hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon

The IT Support Technician I is tasked with supporting a large, distributed workforce to resolve technical issues. They are responsible for ensuring the highest level of technical support while providing outstanding customer service to our employees. They are technically skilled, love working with customers, great problem solvers, and creative thinkers. They provide first line diagnostic/troubleshooting support and technical expertise to answer customer questions, troubleshoot and resolve specific product related issues while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 6 months prior technical support or related work experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands on experience with PC's, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, etc. preferred
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer, respond to, document, and resolve incoming IT support requests via telephone, chat, email, helpdesk
  • Gather and analyze information, evaluate impacts, resolve or escalate issues as needed
  • Manage customer and internal stakeholders' expectations around resolutions and timelines
  • Act as a client liaison and advocate for the resolution of client issues
  • Work closely with other departments in resolving issues and fulfilling all client requests
  • Assess, research, resolve and follow-up on routine user problems
  • Log and track calls and cases using a ticketing system, while maintaining detailed notes of the customer's request
  • Perform hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
  • Build, configure, and deploy IT hardware for the PARR team
  • Provide an excellent example of customer service
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

This position primarily works in an office environment with a computer.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day
  • Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary
  • Both local and overnight travel may be required
