A day in the life (just a few of the things you may do on any given day):

• Design and develop new Go applications to meet the needs of the customer’s research ideas.
• Extract new features from requirements set by the customer for existing applications.
• Containerize new and existing solutions for a team development environment and a technical transfer knowledge for the customer.
• Anticipate the needs of the customer by making software decisions for applications to target a higher user base and allow for easier changes in the long term.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide technical information to teammates and major updates of the project to the customer.
• Good understanding of system and software design with a focus on distributed systems concepts (e.g. high availability, reliability, and scalability).
• Develop RESTful APIs for various services working in a microservices architecture.

You will excel in this role:

• If you posses intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Go programming language.
• If you posses a willingness to quickly learn and become comfortable with Docker (images, containers, volumes, networks, etc.).
• If you posses a strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and networking (TCP/IP, Wireshark).
• If you posses the ability to understand the big picture and how every piece fits together as a whole.
• If you have experience developing RESTful APIs.
• If you're willing to learn new technologies and understand how they fit in the project.

Position Qualifications:

• TS/SCI With POLY Needed
• B.S. in Computer Science or relateddiscipline 6 years of relevant experience OR H.S. 12 years’ experience
