We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children in Indiana. As a BT, you will work closely with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities, implementing ABA techniques to help them achieve their individualized goals. The position involves working directly with clients in their homes, communities, or both, depending on their specific needs and treatment plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address the individualized goals of each client.
  • Conduct therapy sessions in the home and community settings, adhering to the treatment plan and ensuring consistency across environments.
  • Build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with clients and their families, fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
  • Collect data on client progress during therapy sessions, accurately documenting behaviors and outcomes for analysis by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other members of the therapy team to develop and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessment and progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Attend regular supervision meetings with the supervising BCBA to review client progress, discuss challenges, and receive ongoing training and support.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to apply for and sit for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalence
  • Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in data collection and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes and community locations throughout southern Indiana.
