Applied ABC is Hiring a School-Based BCBA Near Frederick, MD

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing patient care, behavioral health assessments, and data collection to support treatment plans.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 35 hours/week

Duties:

  • School BCBA will maintain an active caseload and meet 120 billable utilization hours per month which includes supervision, treatment planning, BTM (treatment planning with face-to-face component, Parent Training, etc. Travel is acknowledged, but not billable. (Up to 10 hours per week).
  • School BCBA will support their caseload by providing behavior analytic supervision to ABA therapists.
  • BCBA may be providing supervision for BT’s or RBT’s working 1:1 with students, delivering evidence-based supervision techniques, such as behavioral skills training.
  • BCBA may not only need to administer skills assessments, but also preference, and reinforcer assessments.
  • BCBA will provide programming to support the students to achieve their treatment goals.
  • BCBA will be required to create behavior support plans, based on the clients’ individual needs and behaviors.
  • Additionally, considerations should be made for families and their level of experience, for family training sessions.
  • Family training targets may need to be explicitly written and explained to those who have little to no experience working in the field of applied behavior analysis.
  • BCBA will set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing and accurate data collection is occurring.
  • BCBA will attend team meetings for coordination of care as requested by the family and be prepared to report on current levels of behaviors. BCBA must be comfortable leading others in behavior crisis situations, utilizing behavior analytic principles.
  • BCBA will uphold Applied ABC’s core principles, of providing the best possible clinical techniques with a holistic and individualized approach to achieve ideal clinical outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification – passed the BACB exam for behavior analysts
  • Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, education, or related field.
  • Current 8-hour supervision certificate – certified to provide supervision to RBT’s, and has supervisory experience. Experience utilizing behavioral skills training.
  • Experience creating behavior support plans
  • Experience administering various skills assessments such as VB-MAPP, Vineland, ABLLS, etc.
  • Experience with school processes such as IEP process (meetings, goals, benchmarks, ESY, team process, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with various professionals in the school setting
  • Experience working with children with various diagnoses, with a range of skill deficit, and maladaptive behaviors, which require behavior analytic intervention (ASD, EBD, developmental disabilities, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license
