Applewood Centers is Hiring a Foster Care Licensing Specialist Near Cleveland, OH
- Accepts assignments of cases from the supervisor and jointly develops tasks and interventions that implement treatment goals.
- Provides Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation (PDE), Psychotherapy, and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), including: evaluations and assessments, participation in the development of the client’s ITP, crisis work – providing assistance and support in crisis situations, support, including education and consultation for families and/or significant other regards the client’s mental illness, etc...
- Supervises assigned foster families and provides supervision support, education, and guidance.
- Provides adequate and appropriate supervision for all clients, including, but not limited to, monitoring and observing all placement foster homes at least twice a month.
- Recognizes the significance of the primary family in the client’s life and demonstrates the skills to engage the client, primary family, and other supportive adults in the treatment planning process.
- Assists clients and families with monitoring and managing symptoms related to mental, emotional, and behavioral symptomatology.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards. All documentation to be submitted within set program deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Level or higher professional with the major field of study being social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or other human services field.
- Ohio valid LSW, LPC or MFT, and prior experience in the delivery of mental health services in the home/community to children and families with complex needs is essential
- This position requires flexibility of schedule and ability to travel in response to the needs of families.
- A valid driver license, personal transportation, and auto insurance
- Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
