Applejack Wine & Spirits is Hiring an Assistant Store Manager, Sales Floor Near Thornton, CO

Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager – Sales Floor serves a critical role in the customer experience at Applejack Wine & Spirits. This role is responsible for supporting the Store Manager with the daily business operations and sales of the store. General tasks include supervising sales floor employees, communicating with customers, and carrying out directives given by the Store Manager and the corporate General Manager.

Responsibilities

Provide Excellent Customer Service

  • Solely responsible for the satisfaction and retention of our customers through exceptional leadership
  • Interact with customers, process customer complaints, and work to resolve issues
  • Provide a positive and healthy work environment and culture that promotes customer service, sales floor staff development, and achievements
  • Monitors and reports on the performance metrics for the sales floor
  • Establish training and communication paths to keep staff up to date on best sellers, out-of-stock issues, special orders, and other customer-centric information

Store Operations

  • Oversee all sales floor operations including Wine, Beer, and Spirits
  • Manage Sales Floor inventory
  • Create standard operating procedures as needed
  • Maintain store safety standards and store cleanliness
  • Assist with day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing duties
  • Responsible for the safety of customers and team members, including monitoring shoplifters, removing items from the floor, following safety protocols, and training staff in safety protocols.

Supervisory Duties

  • Create staffing schedules every week based on sales metrics
  • Review sales floor staff performance and offer constructive feedback
  • Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and training of store staff
  • Manage, coach, and drive the performance of the Sales Floor team
  • Organize training programs for staff to facilitate improved job knowledge
  • Oversee the coaching and guidance of Sales Floor employees, including their interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors

General

  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2 years of retail leadership experience
  • 5 years of Customer Service and/or Sales experience
  • Proven ability to manage, develop and motivate a large team
  • Exercise a high level of work integrity, honesty, and various other virtues that reflect the core values of a retail establishment
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must pass a background check
