**Key Qualifications**

At least 5 years in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or infrastructure focused role

Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems

Experience providing OnCall support to 1st tier production support teams and services

Proficient coding experience with Python or similar scripting languages

Passion for designing and building reliable systems

Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration

Experience in managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private, or hybrid cloud environment

Automation advocate - you truly believe in removing operation load with software

Understanding of the Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols, and components

Hands-on experience managing large numbers of diverse systems with configuration management, infrastructure provisioning tools or software delivery platforms (such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform and Spinnaker)

Experience with deploying, supporting and monitoring new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks

Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Experience with disaster recovery, and capacity planning

Experience with containers and container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus

Experience with PCI, ISO 27001, SOX compliant systems is a plus

Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time with high quality

Excellent communication skills to work and collaborate with development teams

**Description**

Support and lead cross functional tier one projects across multiple services. Support and maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, overall system health and assessing security hardening. Develop, manage and support SRE tools and applications. Engage in improving the whole lifecycle of services from inception through deployment, operations, and refinement. Analyze logs and telemetry data by writing monitoring and automation code. Provide OnCall support to 1st level production support teams. Provide hands-on technical expertise during service impacting events. Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure improvements and process enhancements. Operating at our scale, across multiple geographically dispersed data centers and servicing hundreds of millions of users presents unique challenges. **Education & Experience**

BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 5 years or MS degree with 3 years experience, or equivalent.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs.
