Apple's Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team is seeking an experienced project manager to support data scientists as we fight fraud.Do you enjoy understanding the big picture and diving into technical details? This role provides an opportunity to exercise interpersonal, organizational, technical, analytical and leadership skills.In this role, you will help create and drive strategic roadmaps and coordinate quick tactical responses. Our aim is to address financial fraud without sacrificing customer experience. Given the adversarial nature of fraud, we are constantly challenged to innovate together, drawing from diverse perspectives as we design and build new solutions. Key Qualifications
Experience organizing and leading cross-functional technical projects (clarifying requirements, resolving conflicts, defining roadmap and driving progress)
Deep understanding of how to structure multi-system projects for at least one of the following: engineering, data analysis, machine learning or fraud detection/response
Ability to think broadly about business, customer and system impact
Ability to learn and provide in-depth evaluations of complex engineering and analytic issues
Skilled at using data to present, advocate for and prioritize among solutions
Experience motivating and empowering others to do their best work
The ideal candidate is inquisitive and has a desire for continued self-improvement and development of new skills
Description
An EPM in this role will* Support our operations—managing business critical metrics by partnering closely with data scientists* Get into the details on analytical projects* Help data scientists prioritize work in alignment with urgent operational responses as well as long-term roadmap vision to balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline and risk* Build partnerships with key business and engineering leaders across multiple teams* Continually identify and drive opportunities for process improvement* Guide brainstorming and innovation* Drive intra- and cross-team projects from inception through release and monitoring* Keep partners informed* Work under limited supervision, use good judgment and know when to seek guidance If this sounds like a role in which you could excel, please apply to this posting.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in any analytical, quantitative or technical field (engineering, math, computer science, finance or similar), or equivalent experience
