The Infrastructure Services Programs & Solutions (ISPS) - Special Programs team is committed to driving global infrastructure readiness to support the latest innovations in Apple’s product and service offerings.The ISPS team is seeking a driven and dynamic Engineering Manager passionate about optimizing Apple’s global infrastructure to unlock new experiences for global users. As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in scoping Infrastructure Services deliverables, and ensuring these are introduced in alignment with critical timelines for new products and services. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around understanding infrastructure requirements for new products and services, defining vital tasks, supervising project progress, facilitating cross-functional collaboration through meetings, and delivering comprehensive reports on advancement towards overall program goals!
Key Qualifications
- Confirmed experience in project/program management (5 years) in infrastructure services or related technical domains
- Proficiency in understanding cross-functional program roadmaps, defining scope of required projects, establishing timelines, and handling dependencies within a sophisticated organizational structure
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions
- Exceptional communication and social skills, ability to enable effective collaboration across teams with varied strengths and partners
- Meticulous approach with a focus on maintaining accurate documentation and progress tracking
- Experience with program/project management software (OmniPlan, Wrike, etc.) a plus
Description
The Infrastructure Services Programs & Solutions - Special Programs Engineering Manager will partner with cross-functional teams across Apple to ensure infrastructure readiness for Apple’s newest products and services. If you are passionate about enabling flawless user experiences across Apple devices, this is the opportunity for you!Responsibilities include: - Comprehending program objectives: Gain a comprehensive understanding of program goals and requirements- Roadmap creation: Define vital tasks, dependencies, and establish clear timelines for Infrastructure Services teams to meet program objectives- Progress monitoring: Supervise and assess progress towards achieving critical program breakthroughs, ensuring alignment with predetermined objectives- Documentation management: Maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation for partner reference and ongoing program evaluation- Facilitate cross-functional alignment: Drive internal and cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration and ensure coherence across teams- Progress reporting: Generate concise and significant progress reports on a weekly basis, presenting achievements, challenges, and timely updates to stakeholders
Education & Experience
BS/MS in computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical field
Additional Requirements
- Experience in infrastructure readiness for new products and services is a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,400.00 and $289,800.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
