Role:
 
Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, is responsible for ensuring that proper and complete documentation is received for the establishing of memberships in the branch and online, the opening of additional deposit accounts, the addition/removal of joint owners, and member access to the Overdraft Privilege program. Will improve the credit union staff's proficiency through a variety of Quality Assurance audits, monitoring, and reporting. Provide support to the rest of the Deposits Team as needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles of Team Up, Serve with Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Deposits or the AVP of the Member Solutions Center.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Audits new memberships, accounts, and account relationships created by branch staff and submitted through the online portal for all membership systems for completeness and accuracy.
• Creates quality assurance policies and procedures, interprets, implements and evaluates adequacy of quality assurance standards. Devises sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data. Reviews the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems, plans, conducts and monitors testing to ensure finished product quality. Evaluates audit findings and implements appropriate corrective actions, ensures ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements. Prepares reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
• Documents internal audits and other quality assurance activities, collects and compiles statistical quality data, and analyzes data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system. Develops, recommends and monitors corrective and preventive actions. Identifies training needs and organizes training interventions to meet quality processing standards. 
• Provides Retail Delivery Management with constructive feedback and reports membership errors that need to be rectified. 
• Assists and reports to Retail Delivery Management on how to resolve identified errors.
• Monitors trends in the quality of membership processing performed by branch staff and maintains open communication with the Stakeholder Departments when trends to be addressed are noted.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years financial institution experience required
• 3 years of quality assurance work preferred
• Previous experience in which strong analytical, communication and detail-oriented skills are required. 

Education

A high school education is required.

Other Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
