Appalachian Network Services Inc is Hiring a Field service technician Near Fletcher, NC

Wage : $20-25 per hour

Job Description :

As a Field Services Technician at Appalachian Network Services Inc., you will play a crucial role in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our comprehensive copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.

Your expertise in low-voltage cabling systems will ensure the high-quality implementation and maintenance of video and data cables, supporting the core operations of our organization and our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Execute the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage cabling systems, including CAT6, low voltage cables, and fiber, to organizational and industry standards.
  • Install access control systems and surveillance cameras, adhering to best practices, industry standards, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and efficiently diagnose and resolve issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Engage in complex installations requiring detailed technical knowledge and problem solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to project execution, outcomes, and product usage, ensuring all materials installed are well-documented and communicated to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Participate in team meetings, offering insights for improving operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and manage the proper upkeep of work tools and materials.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols. Take personal responsibility for your safety and the safety of your colleagues by promptly reporting any potential hazards or unsafe conditions.

Licensing and Compliance Requirements :

This role requires active participation in obtaining a NC Alarm System License Registrant. This licensure is essential for any team member involved in the installation, maintenance, or remote access to Camera Systems, Alarm Systems, or Access Control Systems.

Management of the licensure process will be overseen by our NC Alarm System License Licensee to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and solve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in small spaces, at varying heights, and ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally heavier.
  • Must be able to safely work on ladders for extended periods and comply with safety standards, including adhering to the maximum weight capacity for ladders, including personal gear and tools.

Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience demonstrating a high level of proficiency and independence in field service operations.
