Apollo Retail is Hiring an Assembly Technician Near Wilmette, IL

At A Glance

Ready to help unveil an exciting grand opening? One of the biggest e-commerce furniture companies known for “All Things Home” is opening one of their larger brick and mortar stores outside of Chicago! We need assembly technicians to help this popular retail brand, so customers can create their feeling of home in this popular metro area. This project is 7 days a week, 8a-5p. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for solid hours and overtime pay! This exciting new store project starts April 4th and will run 3-4 weeks. You’ll help play an integral role in assembling showroom displays so customers can see, feel, and touch furniture products before they make their purchase.

Important Information

Responsibilities: 

  • Build ready-to-assemble furniture and products for the sales floor
  • Ensure customer safety by anchoring displays and other safety tasks
  • Daily project reporting
  • Ensure you represent Apollo with professionalism around clients and among team members
  • Must work well in a team environment with other assembly technicians and take direction from the team lead

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have reliable transportation to drive to the Wilmette, IL store
  • Must have great communication skills to interface with team lead, team members, and store personnel
  • Must be able to repeatedly stand, bend, stoop, climb, & lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available 7 days a week, 8a-5p with a one-hour lunch break at noon
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, read / follow diagrams and instructions
