ENGLISH / LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER

STARTING DATE: August 2024

REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal

SALARY RANGE: • based on appropriate salary schedule, commensurate with education

and experience

WORK WEEK/YEAR: 183-day school year calendar

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • possess, or ability to obtain, valid Ohio certification/licensure in

English/Language Arts (7-12)

• positive role model for youth

• dedicated to helping students develop high levels of academic

competency

• effective communication and collaborative skills

• ability to pass BCI and FBI background checks

• ability to work as a school improvement team member

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • excellent organizational and human relation skills

• ability to plan and develop an instructional program in English/

Language Arts

RESPONSIBILITIES: • develop an English/Language Arts curriculum and teach high school

youth
