Apogee Engineering is Hiring an USSOCOM - Graphic and Multimedia Designer Near Tampa, FL

Apogee is actively seeking a Graphic and Multimedia Designer at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL to support the USSOCOM Commander's Action Group. USSOCOM develops, and employs, the world's finest Special Operations Forces to conduct global special operations and activities as part of the Joint Force, in concert with the US Government Interagency, Allies, and Partners, to support persistent, networked, and distributed combatant command operations and campaigns against state and non-state actors all to protect and advance US policies and objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, produce, and display a variety of multimedia communications materials for the USSOCOM Commander's Action Group
  • Directly support USSOCOM senior leadership in multimedia presentations
  • Develop and disseminate multimedia materials for USSOCOM events and conferences
  • Prepare visual presentations for USSOCOM by designing art and copy layouts
  • Plan, analyze, and create original visual solutions for USSOCOM communications projects
  • Identify the most effective way to communicate USSOCOM messages in print, electronic, and social media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques
  • Develop overall layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, and other command publications
  • Use perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic techniques to prepare technical and non-technical illustrations and line drawings for slide presentations, reports, brochures, etc.
  • Produce promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for USSOCOM conferences and events
  • Design distinctive logos, signs, and signage systems for USSOCOM conferences and events
  • Develop strategies, schedules, and materials for USSOCOM's web and social media presence
  • Gather relevant information for multimedia projections by meeting with senior leaders and conducting independent research
  • Prepare sketches or layouts to illustrate vision for designs

What you'll need:

  • Security Clearance Required: Secret
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Communications, or Marketing plus 8 years of experience in developing, coordinating, and delivering multimedia materials at the DoD senior executive level
  • Possess a portfolio of work that demonstrates exceptional creativity and expert technical skills in graphic design and multimedia
  • Proficient in rapidly preparing tailored presentations, communicating both verbally and in writing up to the senior executive level
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, digital art applications, and interactive media, web, and social media platforms

Benefits:

Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
  • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
