APMEX is seeking a Jr. Systems Admin Intern to our IT team! 

The Jr. Systems Administrator Intern will assist with the maintenance, daily administration, and documentation of the company's server, network, virtualization and storage infrastructure. This individual will work with software development team to explore and resolve performance and/or error conditions. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn new technologies quickly.

The day in the life of a Jr. Systems Administrator Intern...

• Will work primarily with windows systems managing users and computers in Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange and anti-malware.
• Will be responsible for assisting in performing system updates in accordance with update schedules.
• Must perform and audit daily backups.
• Process, log, track and close tickets.
• Create and maintain documentation on systems and user manuals.
• Assist in implementing and testing new systems.
• Work with other departments to help achieve shared goals.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Research and champion new technologies.
• Assist the Sr. Systems Administrator and Helpdesk with duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: 

• Working toward completing a bachelor's in system administration, Cloud Administration, Networking or Security.

Experience:

The candidate will work with the systems listed below and become familiar with this field's concepts, best practices, and procedures.
