Job Description Senior Rep, Customer Service (TMS) (1st Shift) - Farmington Hill MI - ( 2200008M ) **Description**

This position is the Ford operations coordinator for our customer Ford Motor Company and exists for the purpose of 1) being the senior operations coordinator with higher skillsets than an entry level operations coordinator, 2) is responsible for the tactical side of managing Fords expectations in advising the supervisor/manager of any oncoming issues along with the possible resolution; and 3) responsible for training all new operations coordinators and closing the gap of current employees that have training shortfalls. The difference between this level and the supervisor/manager is that this level is strictly tactical; whereas, the latter is some tactical and strategy. In the operations department there are analytical roles, operational roles, management/supervisory roles. The analytical roles would lean more towards a strategic capacity; whereas, the operational would be tactical. Management would be responsible for both; however, the Lead Equipment Coordinator would be responsible for the Operational/Tactical role.

**Key Accountabilities**

* Multii-Task on other customers when needed: Being able to have the flexibility to assist on other accounts in the same tactical manner as he does on the Ford account.

* **Ford Plant over site:** Making sure that Ford Assembly plants that he is responsible for are covered from a delivery perspective, but also to assist others with Ford related issues.

* **Training:** Train new operations coordinators and/or work with other operations coordinators on any training shortfalls. This would include any new processes that need to be implemented.

* **Daily audit** of Proof of Deliveries and other documentation that needs to be scanned into the LoadTech operating system.

* **Tactical problem solving** on deliveries to Ford Plants that will be late. Making sure that all communication has been completed with railroads and dray carriers on all of the action items they need to take to help recover any lost time in transit.

* **Communication** to Ford LLP (Penske), along with all Ford Plant Operational personnel to make sure that any delays have been communicated, including revised ETAs.

**Required Education**

* High School Diploma. Logistics or Business degree/certificate preferred.

**Experiences**

* 3-5 years of transportation experience. Intermodal operations and equipment control experience preferred.

**Skill Sets**

* Working Knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications

* Ability to multi task

* Demonstrated ability to effectively work through conflict and disagreement through collaborative discussion to reach positive conclusions or decisions..

* Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact successfully with a diverse group of people.
