As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for learning the role of a Machine Operator. You will shadow and begin to complete set-ups, maintain and operate machinery. We are a Safety-First operation. Candidates who enjoy learning, taking on new responsibilities, working with a team and have keen attention to detail will be most successful at API.

What You Will Do:

• Participate in a multi-year rotational apprenticeship program learning all facets of the API Iron Ridge production
• Shadow experienced machine operators to learn the API setups and production cycle
• Obtain necessary materials/parts to support customer jobs
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
• Under guidance, quality check final products
• Apply learning to begin to calibrate and clean machines, control and adjust machine settings
• Maintain records of approved and defective units or final products, and activity logs

• High school diploma or equivalent; or part of formalized apprenticeship program working towards your high school diploma
• Basic understanding of production procedures
• Learning to read blueprints, drawings, schematics and manuals
