Apex Tool Group is looking for an experience Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Dayton, OH. Reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager, this person will handle performing preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.

The Build (Responsibilities)

• ·Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

• ·Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.

• ·Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.

• ·Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.

• ·Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.

• ·Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.

• ·Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• ·Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

• ·Work on other electrical projects as required.

• ·Should have good working knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and control systems.

• ·Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of precision measuring equipment as well as basic hand and pneumatic tools.

• ·Must possess strong team skills with the ability to promote clear and thorough communication both written and oral as well as through electronic means.

• ·Possesses the skills needed to repair, maintain and troubleshoot machinery.

• ·Assist in monitoring all work performed by outside contractors.

• ·Communicate with Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, production department and Plant Management, as needed.

• ·Follow all applicable rules and procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Arc Flash, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and other related programs.

• ·Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions

• ·Works in conjunction with the Maintenance Machine Repair /Technician to maintain daily machine and equipment cleanliness (5S) along with following preventative maintenance standards

• ·Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers, customers, and management.

• ·Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.

• ·Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
