ApexHire is working with a client in the Cedar Rapids, IA area that is looking to add a Hydraulic Equipment Technician to their team, this is a full-time permanent opportunity.

Summary

The preferred candidate for this role should demonstrate a robust technical and mechanical aptitude, facilitating rapid acquisition of practical expertise in hydraulic components. Proficiency in communication is essential. Additionally, willingness to engage in local travel for on-site service is preferred.

In This role, You Will

Equipment Construction:

• Build industrial and mobile hydraulic equipment using skills in plumbing, tube bending, pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, and wiring of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Cylinder Maintenance:

• Perform teardown, evaluation, and rebuilding of hydraulic cylinders.

Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience

Technical and Mechanical Aptitude:

• Strong technical and mechanical skills with the ability to quickly learn hands-on knowledge of hydraulic components.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Optional local travel for on-site service with additional compensation (not mandatory).
• Personal hand tools are required.
• Monthly tool allowance provided to assist with tool investment.
• Tool advance options can be discussed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
