We’re hiring a motivated Commodity Merchandiser to join our team at our Hamburg, NY location or remote for the right candidate. You will trade commodities and execute contracts by facilitating and coordinating the necessary transportation to provide timely pickup and delivery of products. You will report directly to the President.

What you will be doing:

• Develop and manage trading position and marketing plan.
  
• Service existing and develop new customer/vendor relationships.
  
• Apply understanding of values, spreads, and arbitrage through daily communication with product suppliers, customers, and transportation vendors.
  
• Problem solve and provide customer service in the execution of contracts.
  
• Manage position and credit risk with customers and suppliers.
  
• Responsible for contract maintenance and integrity.
  
• Continue education in agricultural commodity markets through research and activity in the marketplace.
  
• Manage logistics throughout execution of contracts.
  
• Travel on behalf of the company, including both new and existing customers and vendors.

This job might be for you if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of trading experience.
  
• BS or MBA in Marketing or Economics; an emphasis in Agriculture preferred.
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiating skills.
  
• Perform with the utmost in integrity and ethics
  
• Must be a professionally aggressive, self-motivated individual.
  
• Able to function in fast paced, ever evolving, stressful environment.
  
• Ability to multi-task.
