APEX Staffing is Hiring an Avionics Technician Near Little Rock, AR

Job Description:
Looking for experienced Avionics Technicians for our Little Rock, AR location. Avionics Technicians are responsible for the installation, repair, modification and routine maintenance on aircraft as required. Experience in Beechcraft King Air, Cirrus, Cessna, Falcon, Gulfstream, and other corporate and general aviation aircraft is highly preferred.

  • Performs work as outlined in work orders timely and signs when work is completed. 
  • Responsible to repair, modify, install, and perform routine maintenance of all Avionics systems with accuracy and with minimal assistance.
  • Continuously abreast of current technical maintenance standards and methods.
  • Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and company.
  • Apply deductive reasoning to troubleshoot and repair and/or check complex systems.
  • Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment.
  • Properly utilize and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations.
  • Accurately document work performed as set forth by company and customer maintenance programs on a daily basis using the standard format.
  • Fabricate per drawings and standard practices, as well as wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.
  • Ensures work order discrepancy corrective action is adequate for work accomplished.
  • Notifies supervisor of any tasks performed which should be documented in the On The Job Training record.

Job Requirements:
  • Previous General Aviation experience is highly preferred.
  • Literate in Aircraft Wiring Schematics and Symbols
  • Capable of manufacturing wiring harnesses
  • Installing and troubleshooting wiring harnesses, aircraft electrical systems and electrical components
  • Familiarity with avionics manufactures such as Garmin, Bendix-King, Honeywell, Avidyne, Aspen Avionics, Freeflight Systems to name a few
  • Fluent in basic electrical theory
  • Provide proof of good wire crimping and soldering techniques
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Capable of standing, sitting, and bending to complete assigned tasks
  • Previous FAA 145 repair station experience beneficial.
