Apex Search Group is Hiring an EHS Manager Near Mooresville, TN

Responsibilities:

  • This position provides EH&S leadership at the facility and will develop, implement, and manage company policies and procedures for employee health and safety.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and development to plant staff through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies and procedures
  • Performs incident investigations for accidents, near misses, injuries, spills, and other site-related emergencies.
  • Performs routine site inspections and program audits
  • Manage administration of OSHA 300 log
  • Maintains accurate and complete environmental, health and safety records in accordance with governing regulations and company policies.
  • Organizes and/or conducts EHS training for employees and contractors; provide safety orientation to new hires
  • Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and remains informed about changes to regulations that impact the organization.
  • Maintains the site Hazard Communication Program
  • Functions as the facility resource for all environmental-related issues including, but not limited to: site air permit, emergency planning, storm water permit, hazardous waste management
  • Follow and enforce applicable GMP policies
  • Assume Corporate project responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent experience.
  • EHS Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated consulting and influencing skills.
  • Experienced conflict resolution, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 - $101,000.00 per year
