Apex Placement & Consulting is Hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Near Orion, MI
APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Lake Orion, MI looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to assist with incoming/outcoming shipments and make sure everything is documented accordingly. Sounds like a great opportunity, right?

- Load/unload trucks using hi-lo as needed
- Verify quantities on incoming shipments with signature and date received.
- Complete log-In sheet and ensure dock procedure is followed
- Ensure CTPAT procedure is followed.
- Drive company vehicle required for pickups and deliveries.
- Process shipments through the system to ensure timely advance shipping notification and record keeping.
- Scan labels for shipment and verify through computer with pick list.
- Prepare parts for shipment per the shipping schedule using FIFO and according to the individual customer packaging instructions.
- Transfer parts from warehouse to shipment staging.
- Ensure parts are scanned, wrapped and have labels per customer requirements, maintaining lot number identification for customers requiring same.
- Label parts and shipments as directed by the shipping schedule, repack, relabel and rewrap as necessary
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years required experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Forklift certification
- FIFO comprehension
