Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our team. As a Buyer/Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain and ensuring the availability of materials and resources needed for production. You will be responsible for purchasing materials, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and planning production schedules to meet customer demands.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials at the best possible price
- Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to determine optimal stock levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production plans based on customer orders and sales forecasts
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks or opportunities
- Conduct research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and reliability
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to generate purchase orders and track inventory levels
- Coordinate logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control
- Collaborate with quality management teams to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards
- Continuously improve procurement processes and strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
