Overview:

Have you considered a Gap Year Internship as a Medical Assistant before going to Medical or PA School?

We’re looking for a driven and career-minded Gap Year Medical Assistant to join our team full-time at Boston Center for Plastic Surgery. You will be a valued member of our team working alongside Board Certified Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons and an established team to assist with patient care. This is an exciting environment that offers exposure to unique cases, and extraordinary mentors and teachers that will provide you with a well-rounded medical and surgical experience.

At the Boston Center for Plastic Surgery, we approach the art of plastic surgery and cosmetic dermatology with a philosophy that sets us apart. Our two practices in Brookline and downtown Boston are well-established, with academic affiliations. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience not only in dermatology but also in plastic surgery, which will set you apart from other applicants in the med school application process.

As a Gap Year Medical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:

Help with complex procedures and patient follow-up
Participate in clinical research
Obtain valuable patient care experience that is transferrable to any specialty
Receive mentorship from practicing Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons
Maximize your changes of getting into medical school
Receive medical school interview training
Collaborate with other Gap Interns
