Position Profile
The Distribution Specialist Driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of products to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and un-loading vehicles, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Compliance – Delivery of medicated product comes with rules and standards set by the OLCC. It is a top priority to abide by these rules and is our expectation of all employees to do so. This includes following all traffic laws, and the requirement of not using cannabis during work hours.
Medicated Product/Money Handling – The Distribution Specialist will be handling valuable items. It is imperative that this individual accurately keeps track of money and product from the moment of leaving the warehouse to return deposit at the end of the day.
Quality Assurance Checks – Before packing product for delivery, ensure that all data points are correct. I.e. check to ensure physical product matches manifest/metrc tag listing.
Safety – An awareness of security is important when handling valuable items. Understanding your surroundings and staying on task while completing deliveries is of the utmost importance.
Teamwork – It is an expectation of all Golden employees to assist others when needed. When a Distribution Specialist is sick or on vacation, all team members step in to assist in completing the necessary tasks for that day.
Vehicle Maintenance – When a vehicle is in disrepair, it is an expectation that the Distribution Specialist communicates these issues to the Warehouse General Manager or the Distribution Team Lead.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to be placed on the company’s insurance policy
Valid OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit or ability to obtain prior to beginning work with the company.
Must be 21 years or older
Exceptional customer service skills are required
Experience with money handling and accounting procedures is preferred

Self-Development - The Distribution Specialist is an extension of the sales team. Learning about products Golden offers is important. Utilizing SOP’s, training guides and other team members to accomplish this goal is encouraged.
Solves Problems and Analyzes Issues – No customer or product delivery is equal. Being able to process a challenge and efficiently come to a solution is important.
Takes Initiative – The Distribution Specialist is on the road most days. This requires the individual to take on projects without specific guidance in some instances.
Time Management – Deliveries require multiple stops across the state. It is expected that the Distribution Specialist maps out each route, and efficiently completes the delivery in a timely manner.
Work Environment
Full time, Monday – Friday; hours vary depending on the delivery schedule for any given day. Delivery routes and schedules are created based on fulfillment orders approximately 2pm the day prior.
Driving to all areas in the state of Oregon
Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
Ability to drive 100 miles a day, sitting for long periods of time
Appointment based deliveries out of our warehouse facility. Customer interaction on a daily basis.
