Job Description
Position Title : Tank Services General Foreman
Position Reports To : Superintendent and / or Project Manager
Position Summary
A Tank Services General Foreman is responsible for directing personnel in the safe execution of the site specific scope of work items outlined in the contract documents.
A General Foreman is also responsible for all associated paperwork and documentation as described in the Apache manuals and programs that apply.
Essential Function
Read prints, specifications and both written and verbal instructions as required to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.
Heavy lifting will often be required to perform tasks.
Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb.
Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time inside confined spaces, often with breathing equipment required.
Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.
Maintain a reliable attendance records
Always maintains a clean and safe work environment
Able to wear all required PPE
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Minimum 5 years of tank services experience
Minimum 1 year experience with Apache.
Demonstrate a broad knowledge of craft(s) utilized on projects they oversee
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ensure that all employees are working in a safe manner and environment. Field Foreman is to fulfill all requirements outlined in the Apache Safety Manual, site specific requirements, and customer specific requirements.
Initiate and manage the daily tailgate safety meeting and JHA.
Work with Project Manager and Superintendents to understand the scope of work and bring to their attention any potential problems and issues.
Communication with the Project Manager should continue on a daily basis.
Ensure that all Apache and customer specifications, guidelines, and programs are being followed and documented as required.
Responsible for managing the field crew in the performance of daily tasks.
Ensure that work is being performed efficiently with regard tomanpower, equipment, tools and consumables.
Responsible for compliance with all QC requirements which include those stated in the contract, drawings, and specifications.
Complete all general site paperwork including timesheets and T&M sheets.
Responsible for onsite customer relations.
Responsible for the organization and direction of Tank Construction and related activities for projects.
Attend job walks and bid meetings as requested by Apache management and provide documentation necessary to provide pricing information.
Responsible for the training of crew members. Field Foreman are expected to train prospective employees to become productive members of the crew and prepare them to become a Field Foreman.
Oversee tank construction activities to ensure compliance with construction schedules, drawings, job specifications and procedures.
Must maintain a positive attitude with crew members.
Inspect, set up, use, break down, and rig equipment such as aerial work platforms, elevated work platforms, and staging
Ensuring good housekeeping is being performed throughout the entire project - inside & outside.
Work Conditions / Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
