Apache Corporation is Hiring a Logistics & Mater. Mgmt. Supervisor Near Houston, TX
Specific ResponsibilitiesThe Logistics & Material Management Supervisor - GOM & NV for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Global Supply Chain team at the company’s Houston, TX office reporting to the Logistics & Material Management Director. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Ensure logistics & materials management strategy and operations aligns with EH&S policy and standards and all relevant laws and regulations
Develop and implement a logistics & materials mgmt strategy to control and manage all Apache shorebase, aviation, marine and warehouse storage for NV and GOM offshore activities
Assist in developing and maintaining systems, procedures, and processes to meet operational logistics & materials requirements
Ensure materials strategy reflects best practices and incorporates strategies to ensure appropriate inventory holdings while minimizing risk
Work with accounting on ensuring materials are managed according to Apache adopted accounting practices
Propose implementation of continuous improvement methodology to manage logistics and control materials held at Apache storage locations
Engaging with assigned asset Stakeholders on business plan requirements, to ensure sufficient capacity is in place to efficiently cover all operational requirements
Engaging with Category Management & Strategic Sourcing (CMSS) to develop and execute inventory and materials management contract strategy.
Ensuring storage locations operate in accordance with EH&S requirements
Manage materials storage locations and personnel – lead and support all Apache logistics & materials facilities in all daily functions including but not limited to goods receipt, picking & dispatch, stock count, disposals, material movements in and out, and materials queries
Manage the schedule and implement stock counts of Apache materials held at all Apache storage locations including third-party vendors, creating stock count reports and discrepancy forms, where applicable
Work with appropriate technical departments to ensure storage arrangements are appropriate for the type of materials being stored
Engaging with CMSS to develop and execute aviation contracts to ensure capacity is in place to execute asset business plan requirements safely and efficiently
Engaging with Aircraft Operator to ensure Company requirements are clearly understood and supported
Engaging with CMSS to develop and execute to ensure marine capacity is in place to execute asset business plan requirements safely and efficiently.
Approving agreed vessel contract strategy and liaising with the technical Stakeholders when confirming vessel strategy
Managing the interface between marine and shorebase requirements
Engaging with vessel owners to ensure Company requirements are clearly understood and supported
Engaging with CMSS to develop and execute contracts and strategies to ensure shorebase capacity is in place to support asset business plan requirements safely and efficiently
Engaging with the shorebase operator to ensure Company requirements are clearly understood and supported
Work with Purchasing, Operations, and Asset teams to forecast future needs and effects on materials
Create and analyze Global Supply Chain materials and logistics metrics
Oversee material master catalogue creation, maintenance & verification
Focal point of all disposals, including the sale of surplus materials
Ongoing materials rationalization & optimization of equipment to identify opportunities for use/disposal/deployment of surplus and obsolete stock
Ensuring the Authority for Disposal is accurate and has the appropriate approvals.
Qualifications & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant Business / Technical discipline
Minimum 7-10 years of offshore global E&P Logistics & Materials Management
Hands on experience managing multiple warehouses/yards
Upstream Oil & Gas experience with specific planning and supply chain activities related to drilling and completions activities
Extensive knowledge of Drilling, Completions, and Production equipment
Good knowledge of EH&S protocol for materials handling and yard operations
Good Excel knowledge and experience
SAP knowledge and previous SAP experience is required
Experience with SAP Ariba related to sourcing and contracts is preferred
