Job description
We are looking for a talented, caring LVN for our City if Industry, Arcadia, and Monterey Park location.
Minimum 1 year of Urgent Care/ Acute care experience Demonstrated IV and phlebotomy proficiency preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments to patients according to physician orders
- Perform airway management procedures, such as suctioning and tracheostomy care
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide case management services to ensure continuity of care for patients
- Assist with tube feeding and monitor patients' nutritional status
- Apply knowledge of physiology to provide appropriate care and interventions
- Practice aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission
- Participate in discharge planning and provide patient education on post-discharge care
- Provide specialized care for infants, including monitoring growth and development
- Offer family planning counseling and education
Qualifications:
- Valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Proven experience in medication administration and airway management
- Strong patient assessment skills and the ability to recognize changes in condition
- Knowledge of case management principles and practices
- Familiarity with tube feeding procedures and protocols
- Understanding of human physiology and its application in nursing care
- Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Experience in discharge planning and patient education
- Knowledge of infant care best practices and growth monitoring techniques
- Ability to provide family planning counseling and education
Required Certification/Licensure:
Current LVN licensure in the State of California
Active BLS certification
