AP Rochester is Hiring a Production planner Near Rochester, NY

AP Professionals has partnered with a fantastic, local, manufacturing company in the Rochester area that is looking to add a Production Planner onto their growing team.

The Production Planner will be responsible for the master scheduling, planning, as well as handling reporting within the ERP System.

An individual with a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to have their voice and ideas heard would be a fantastic fit for this company and role.

5-8 years of experience required.

This position is a direct hire, full-time, onsite / hybrid position. This company offers fantastic benefits including a bonus!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily production planning activities
  • Convert the weekly schedule into work orders in SAP for the production floor based on actual capacity.
  • Support the production process by creating system work orders
  • Expedite orders when needed
  • Support the Master Scheduler and execute the master plan and production schedule.
  • Perform BOM set-up in ERP system, time studies, cycle count, among others.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor to provide guidance on production and shipping priorities.
  • Work closely with stockroom, operations, and supply chain personnel to adjust plan to changing variables.
  • Coordinate material status and customer expectations and support the management of the department KPI’s.
  • Understand lean approaches and support lean six sigma and continuous improvement efforts.

EDUCATION

Associates or Bachelor’s degree required

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of experience in a Production Planner role, within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Knowledge of ERP / Planning systems (experience with SAP preferred!)
  • Proficiency in Excel
