Activities Assistant

Part Time Every Other Weekend Available!

Hudson Elms is a 50 bed skilled nursing and 25 bed Assisted Living facility looking for fun, energetic Activity Assistants to fill full-time and part-time roles. The ideal candidate will help design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, realization and fulfillment to improve daily living skills. Have fun while getting paid!

Job Responsibilities

• Perform activity programs according to facility calendar

• Maintains a system of records including resident information, progress notes, attendance logs, discharge summaries, Resident Council Meeting minutes and activity assistant assessments/plans for each resident on a daily basis.

• Provides personal services for residents such as writing letters, mailing packages and transporting to community events when transportation is available.

• Attends resident care conferences to identify problems and obtain goals and approaches to be implemented in the care plan.

• Assist activity director with the season décor of the facility.

• Performs light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning up after parties and programs, when necessary. Keeps office area clean as well as desk and surrounding areas.

• Other duties as assigned by the activities director.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older

• Possesses a valid drivers’ license

• Flexible to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays

• Possesses recreational generalist background or a minimum of two (2) years full-time or equivalent part-time paid work experience in a healthcare setting.
