We are looking for Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for these shifts:

  • Second Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Third Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

FULL-TIME | Monday – Friday Some Weekends Required

POSITION DETAIL

Maintenance Mechanics ensure efficient, high-quality operation of our industrial plastic bottle Blow Molding machinery. You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, testing, analyzing, updating, repairing troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of industrial Blow Molding equipment. Our mechanics work in a safe and responsible manner following established procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of engines, motors, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machinery
  • Working knowledge of bottle Blow Molding machines used in production
  • Follows diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Skills and Abilities:

  • Mechanical experience with industrial manufacturing machinery or equivalent relevant experience
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Physical stamina, strength, and ability to perform maintenance on industrial machinery
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must pass pre-employment background check (TWIC credentialing standards apply)

Work Environment

This job operates in a non-temperature-controlled industrial plant environment. These conditions can vary from hot and cold extremes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving production machinery and vibration. Moderate noise can be expected from forklifts, machinery, trains and trucks. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Regular work will be performed near other workers and production machinery. 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking up to 8 – 10 hours per day 
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery 
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds at chest height
2nd shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm
3rd shift - 10:00pm - 6:30am
