We are currently on the lookout for a skilled Electrical CAD Designer to join their team in Eden Prairie, MN.

Position Overview: The Electrical CAD Designer will play a crucial role in developing clear, complete, and accurate electrical design documentation. Responsibilities include creating layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics with precision and adherence to defined CAD standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to industry guidelines, best practices, and specific CAD Standards set by clients.
• Leverage CAD software expertise to produce detailed and accurate drawings.
• Translate engineers’ sketches or documentation into finalized designs.
• Ensure design accuracy by comparing components with datasheets.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of drawings and incorporate feedback from engineers or project managers.
• Collaborate effectively within a design team, supporting both the team leader and company management protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
• Manage project budgets and schedules with diligence.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all company and customer information.
• Follow office policies and procedures and report any issues affecting the fulfillment of customer requirements.
• Efficiently use software tools such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

• Preferred AAS degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical concepts and terminology, including control panel design.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical concepts (e.g., UL508, NFPA) and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Excel, and Access.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and maintain attention to detail.
