About the Employer
We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees.

Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. The Antioch Unified School District is a Merit System District. As such, final selection of our classified staff members will be made from candidates who have been placed on an eligibility list. Job Summary
ON-CALL SUBSTITUTE RECRUITMENT

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Manager-Maintenance & Grounds, perform various semi-skilled duties involved in the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and equipment including tasks in various areas such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, electronics and locksmithing.

ON-CALL SUBSTITUTE RECRUITMENT: These positions are for those not seeking permanent or regular work. Ideal Candidate: Seeking individuals with sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities to perform a variety of semi-skilled duties in the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
