Qualifications:

· At least 1 year of Pre-authorization insurance experience. Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a health care environment.

· Excellent customer service skills .

· Ability to utilize technology, specifically the in-house EMR system.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks.

· Organizational skills and attention to time-sensitive responsibilities

Responsibilities:

· Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for requested services.

· Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to gather necessary information and documentation.

· Obtain authorization from insurance carriers and collect copays as appropriate.

· Monitor and track relevant insurance changes which affect patient financial liabilities.

· Discuss liability with patients, works with pharmaceutical companies and other resources to obtain grants, pharmaceutical patient assistant programs, and other assistance available for patients in need.

· Work with insurance denials and resolve issues.

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere.

· Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.
