Speech Language Pathologist 

AnthroMed Education provides school-based Speech and Language Pathology services to schools throughout the Greater Chicago area. We are committed to aligning passionate and ambitious Speech and Language Pathologists with the best possible schools!

Position Overview:

We are currently searching for a full-time, Speech-Language Pathologist to join one of our incredible school partners and be part of a tight-knit team. The chosen SLP will support a Pre-K- 8th grade, low incident population. The total number of students on the caseload is 69, but this will be split between our returning SLP who also supports this building. This school helps students with mild to moderate disabilities, and heavily utilizes AAC devices since most students are non-verbal. The SLP will provide a good amount of push-in support and will partner with teachers daily in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work onsite, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am – 3:45 pm.
  • Manage a caseload of around 35 students.
  • Complete required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss individual students' modifications or adaptations, ongoing learning issues, interventions, or problems.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure students' needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents, staff, and students on progress.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees.
  • Conduct speech and language case study evaluations.
  • Serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.
  • Develop an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for each student placed in speech-language therapy.
  • Collaborate with other on-site SLPs on a day-to-day basis and discuss caseload challenges, determine the proper course of action on a student-by-student basis, and maintain accurate records regarding student contact.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL)
