The Role

Our team is currently hiring a School Social Worker for the 2022 – 2023 school year in Highland Park, IL. The chosen SSW will provide their support and services to the Middle and High school student population. This role entails a great amount of push-in group Social and Emotional Learning services, in self-contained classrooms. The caseload consists of mainly students with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work full-time, onsite, Monday – Friday.
• Assesses, identifies, and provides clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance and/or behavioral concerns.
• Utilizes student performance data as a guide for decision-making.
• Fulfills all the responsibilities of the IEP: timely and current progress monitoring, uses progress monitoring to guide instruction, etc. 
• Completes casework assessments and services and communicates them to students and their families.
• Utilizes effective practices that provide for safe environments and supportive relationships.
• Works with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and schools.
• Participates in and contributes to a school culture that focuses on improved student learning. 
• Attends meetings and professional development activities as required.
• Promotes a school climate and culture conducive to student learning.
• Other duties are as follows.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Endorsement in Social Work
