AnthroMed Education is Hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacher (Significant Support Needs) Near Bailey, CO

AnthroMed Education is a Special Education services provider aiming to enhance the communities we serve. We provide the very best Special Education professional to school districts in the Midwest and in Colorado. Our unique focus on our Special Educators' experience in schools is what drives us. We are looking for a new grad and entry-level Special Educator for a school district in Bailey, CO. This is a full-time position for the 2022-2023 school year. 

Qualifications:

  • CO SPED Teaching Certification can be in process- School-Based Experience Preferred
  • Minimum of an earned Bachelor's Degree in education or a field of study related to special education with a major in the area of learning disabilities or earned credit coursework equivalent to the major.
  • Commitment to ongoing education/continuing professional development
  • New Grads are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs, and to familiarize stakeholders with social work services.
  • Provides supportive services for Special Education students.
  • Participates as an educational team member for the success of all students.
  • Assists in the development of school plans and organizational procedures for the health, safety, discipline and conduct of students as established in district procedures.
  • Serves as liaison between the school and encouraging parent engagement with the school.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to keep and maintain accurate records to meet deadlines.
  • Prepares written reports and recommendations for IEP meetings.
  • Collaborates and works cooperatively with staff to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates and monitors student progress through subjective and objective means.
  • Counsels students and parents regarding educational, vocational, and personal issues.
  • Establishes and maintains a physical and social classroom environment conducive to learning.
