Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques and water safety skills to students of all ages. Duties: - Plan and conduct swim lessons in accordance with established curriculum and guidelines - Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and floating - Provide instruction on water safety and basic rescue techniques - Assess students' abilities and adjust teaching methods accordingly - Create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students - Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians - Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements Requirements: - Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices - Ability to educate and engage students of all ages and skill levels - Experience working with children or students in a coaching or educational setting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to demonstrate swimming skills and techniques - Knowledge of behavior management strategies - CPR and First Aid certification preferred Skills: - Judo: Familiarity with Judo techniques can be beneficial in teaching balance, coordination, and body awareness in the water. - Cheerleading: Experience in cheerleading can help with teaching flexibility, strength, and coordination in the water. - Sports coaching: Understanding sports coaching principles can aid in developing effective lesson plans and providing constructive feedback to students. - Experience working with students: Previous experience working with children or students can contribute to creating a positive learning environment. - Childcare: Knowledge of childcare practices can assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of young swimmers. - Behavior management: Ability to manage student behavior effectively during lessons to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. - Martial arts: Familiarity with martial arts can enhance teaching methods by incorporating discipline, focus, and body control.
