Overview:

The individual will be responsible for bridging the gap between the IT department and the ministry stakeholders, ensuring that IT solutions meet ministry needs and objectives. The IT Business Analyst will analyze operational processes, gather requirements, and translate them into functional requirements for IT solution teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with ministry stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into detailed specifications.
  • Analyze current operational processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
  • Research and recommend possible IT solutions to address ministry needs.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure solutions align with ministry requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for proposed IT projects.
  • Create documentation such as business case, project charter, business requirements, user stories, process flows and user manuals.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of IT solutions to ensure they meet end user expectations.
  • Provide support and guidance to end-users during the implementation of IT systems.
  • Assimilate information from all levels of ministry staff translating it into a cohesive and comprehensive set of requirements and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in IT business analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Previous experience as a business analyst in IT-related projects, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, process modeling, and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose creative solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis.
