Production Associate

Position Summary

It is our philosophy to move production associates to where our daily needs dictate. We will train our new hires. Walk-ins welcome, interview on the spot.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and PPE guidelines in support of an accident-free culture.
  • Maintain a clean work area and an organized workspace following prescribed housekeeping procedures. (5S)
  • Must have good attendance
  • Implement lean improvements throughout all processes to eliminate waste.
  • Provide backup for other areas within the department.
  • Monitor and reorder raw materials
  • Meet production standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read sales order and determine parts needed, color etc. to fill the orders.
  • Set-up and operate various hand tools, machines (saws, drills, sanders, spray finishing equipment) to produce product parts and components.
  • Check product for any defects before packing for shipment.
  • Package the products for shipping

Education and/or Experience

This position generally requires a high school diploma, or equivalent, plus 1 year of experience in a production environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools is required.
  • Ability to follow directions is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is helpful.
  • Attention to detail; Communication skills; Organization; and Adaptability.
