Company is looking for a talented Software/UX Engineer to support a critical mission. You will help accelerate analytic workflows and processes using a combination of your systems engineering and software engineering knowledge and experience. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to work in a highly technical and mission focused environment. You will be working with a range of systems engineering tools to design, implement, and evaluate the full scope of modeling and simulation pipelines. This includes working as part of a team who automates data extraction processes along with development, testing, and deployment. You will be integrating software and hardware technologies to support the automation efforts in a manner that accelerates the analytic workflow built around a series of complex models. You will be working with a team of mission focused engineering and operations professionals to accomplish robust acceleration goals. We need you to be able to integrate ideas from a range of perspectives and creatively implement new ideas to ingest, process, and enhance data across the workflows. You will be using an evolving suite of data science tools to support the effort, while working closely with analytic and engineering subject matter experts. Required Skills
• Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance or above.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline with 5 years of industry experience. • Strong C# software development skills with experience in full stack application development
• Strong experience leveraging GitLab or other CI/CD tools
• Experience with ArcGIS or ArcPro preferred
• Experience with developing GUIs and creating supporting documentation ("buttonology")
• Experience working in an Agile development environment preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly, along with leadership experience
• Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English Desired Skills
• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Linux OS is a plus
• Experience with ArcPro or ArcGIS software
• Experience deploying software to DoD classified systems & networks
• Experience in automating scalable software/data engineering pipelines
• Experience consulting non-technical business users to gather requirements and convert into technical tasking
• Geospatial analysis tools (e.g., Shapely, GeoPandas, ArcGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, leaflet, etc.) This position is a full-time, direct hire, on-site position in Dahlgren, VA.
