Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the store's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Daily Operations: Support the Store Manager in managing day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
• Staff Management: Help recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure exceptional customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Sales and Merchandising: Assist in implementing sales strategies and promotional activities to drive revenue growth. Ensure merchandise is displayed effectively and the store is clean and organized.
• Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and placing orders with suppliers as needed.
• Team Development: Support the professional development of staff through training initiatives, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety standards.
• Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise in the store promptly and effectively, seeking guidance from the Store Manager or higher management when necessary.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling staff shifts, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of operations, including sales techniques and inventory management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and other retail software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
