AnMed is Hiring an Emergency Department Technician Near Anderson, SC

The Emergency Department is a 50 bed unit dedicated to initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The Emergency Department is staffed with board certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, transporters, techs and registered nurses. The Emergency Department sees on average 170 patients per day with varying acuity's and a wide variety of illnesses and injuries from pediatrics to geriatrics.

SUMMARY

Provides quality patient care consistent with the standards and guidelines established by AnMed Health Emergency Department. While working in the Emergency Department the Technician works under the guidance and supervision of the Emergency Department nurse(s) and charge nurse(s) providing treatment as ordered by the physician(s) / provider(s) helping to promote quality and safe care to the patients within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an approved nursing assistant training course, hospital based nursing assistant, phlebotomist, EMT, or surgical technician.

Preferred:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in health-related field
  • Licenses & Certificates: Current certifications in Rhythms Interpretation, Phlebotomy, BLS
