CRNAs are professional Registered Nurses duly licensed and certified to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, registered with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and have completed a graduate curriculum focusing on clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of anesthesia care. CRNAs will be medically supervised by AHMC's Anesthesia Department anesthesiologists. The CRNA must have specific qualifications and be willing to work within the boundaries of the stated scope of practice.

Qualifications: Current SC RN license, graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program, SC recognition, and current certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
