Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires a strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and excellent animal handling skills.

Duties:

- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries

- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian

- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement

- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results

- Take and develop X-rays

- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures

- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress

- Clean and maintain equipment, instruments, and examination rooms

- Assist with animal handling, restraint, and grooming

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant is required

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in veterinary technology is a plus

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Leadership skills valued
